Cybertron.ca board member madjester has reported that Canadian Toys "R" Us systems are showing a listing for the upcoming exclusive Masterpiece Grimlock with a price of 69.99. No release date has been confirmed but the post does show a picture. Full article from Cybertron.ca. Another note their site reports a lot of new figures in stores as well as older figures on sale. It seems to be a good time to be a Canadian Transformer fan!
Which is great news for the photo contest... |

Seibertron has relayed in box pics posted by The-Arker of Transformers 2010 Leader Class Optimus Prime and Starscream. Check out our listings for these two here: Optimus Prime and Starscream.
Here are pics of what I'm gonna call Battle Hook Prime. Notice the new battle hooks, the new head sculpt. Product/Assortment 95432/98431 (the lettering is rather small so I might be off). Item Description-"Optimus Prime is under no illusions about how dangerous Starscream really is. The Decepticon second-in-command might be a coward, but he's still smart and powerful enough to present a real threat to Earth. The Autobot leader has Human and Autobot agents combing the globe for the hiding air warrior. As soon as they find him, though, it will be Optimus Prime alone who goes in to bring him down." This is a level 5 figure.
Here are pics of what I'm gonna call Hand Cannon Starscream. Product/Assortment 94192/98431 (again, the lettering is rather small so I might be off). Item Description-"Optimus Prime may think him a coward, but Starscream never flees a fight out of fear alone. Every retreat is calculated to keep him alive long enough to return and destroy his opponents with overwhelming power. As long as the Autobots seek him in force, he will remain hidden. As soon as Optimus Prime ventures out alone, however, Starscream will strike." This is a level 4 figure.
Both figures come with 2 1.5v AA batteries, have lights, sound effects and voice. They are said to be scheduled for release "mid summer". |

TFW2005 has reported that a new edition of RPM Bumblebee is appearing in stores with some subtle changes. This newer release features a completely-redesigned remote control, some enhancements to Bumblebee (a window color change, addition of N.E.S.T. logo on door, removal of Autobot symbol on hood, and addition of a pair of black stripes to the trunk), and is packaged in a different box than the first release. | What is today's mystery part? I'm thinking blue raspberry...or perhaps mint. Whatever it is, it looks delicious. To find out just what it is, all you have to do is perform a shmax search. Once you've found the answer, post a shmax.com link to the details page for this part. |

| Hello plastic crack fans, er Transformer collectors, or uber TFnerds (that's me). Today's picture brings you the newest member of the Masterpiece series, Black Convoy. Over the years, there have been numerous figures depicting "Nemesis Prime" (or a black version of Convoy/Optimus Prime), but they all pale in comparison to the most recent, and in my opinion, best representation of the character. But why, you may ask, is he the best? Come on...just look at him - tall, dark, and handsome. Ha, just kidding. Seriously, though, this figure has some extra tidbits that the other Masterpiece Primes do not. In this first release of Black Convoy, included with the figure is the standard Megatron gun, his tech spec card, Matrix, and Energon axe. But, unlike his previous incarnations, we get a little black cloth bag with a silver Autobot symbol on it. You might be thinking, "Well, LongHaul, what is in the bag?" Inside is the first chrome metal Masterpiece figure record, which states the "Transformers Masterpiece" bit, along with an Autobot symbol, MP-1B, "Cybertron Commander", and "Convoy Black Ver." This, along with his general all-around awesomeness, is what makes him, in my opinion, the best Masterpiece figure, because now he can be displayed with his chrome bio card, while the other blingless MPs will just vanish into the background. I'm LongHaul and that's what I think. |

| Courtesy of Hellscream, here's Overcharge, a rather apropos name for a taxi. Don't let him screw ya over...last time I checked, it was a flat-rate $45 ride from JFK airport to Manhattan, so if he asks for anything more than that, feed him to the Sharkticons. |

| Today's subject, in honor of Thanksgiving, is the Beast Wars Telemocha turkey, Archadis, courtesy of Hellscream. While there isn't a true Transformers turkey, we feel that this archaeopteryx will do nicely. So, just how long should you cook this giant robotic bird? Let's see...bake at 325 degrees, at 20 minutes a pound, remembering to baste with Energon every half hour or so - you should finish up just before Christmas. Just think of the leftovers - archaeopteryx soup...archaeopteryx casserole...hot archaeopteryx sandwiches, the possibilities are endless. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! |
