« on: June 27, 2012, 02:05:47 PM »
Show some support for eclipseGrafx
What does this have to do with you?
We need you to vote and help us reach a minimum of 250 votes. We are currently at 178 votes which was gained over a period of 24 hours. If we can keep the momentum going we can easily reach 250 in 48 hours. This can only get done with your help and with you spreading the news. After you vote tell everyone you know to vote as well and have them tell everyone they know. If we can get 5 people to vote and then they get 5 people each to vote and then they get 5 people each to vote we will have our goal! But it starts with that first vote... YOU!
SO WHAT DO YOU GET?
IF WE GET THE 250 VOTES IN ON TIME
We will host a webstore wide sale of 25% off for 25 hours. Thats right! EVERYTHING in store will go on sale for 25 hours.
Thats not enough? Well if we get the grant each person who voted will get the figure above....FREE. Just for supporting and passing the word.Let us know if you voted or that you got someone else to vote. The figure will be an exclusive fully printed scifi figure that will only be released through this grant offer!
With your support we can achieve much for this small business and we can offer so much more to our customers. Some of the bonuses this will allow for you is cheaper product, with no middle man fees are reduced.

Video Games Discussion / E3 Discussion
« on: June 08, 2012, 03:54:32 PM »
So what was everyone's thoughts on E3 this year?
I for one found it lacking quite a bit. Nothing really "wowed" me this year. In fact, all the games that were announced that I have any real interest in were announced/featured on the web instead of the actual press conferences.

Video Games Discussion / Z.O.E. 3!!!
« on: May 28, 2012, 06:59:39 PM »
FINALLY!
I've been dying for this game to get made since the end of Zone of Enders 2. Now, if only Kojima would finally give in and make a HD remake of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, I'd be a very happy gamer.
For those not familiar with Zone of Enders, buy it!

Non-Transformers Toy Discussion / Which Toyline Expansion is Everyone Looking Forward to?
« on: May 10, 2012, 04:41:08 PM »
There are a few toylines I'm dying to see added here, but the one I most anticipate is LEGO. I've been collecting LEGO far longer than Transformers, and is probably one of my priorities in collecting along with video games (hmmm, that could/would be interesting if we added video games to the database).
So as the title says: which toyline are you most looking forward to and why?

Photo of the Day / Photo of the Day: April 22nd, 2012
« on: April 22, 2012, 05:51:06 PM »
As some of you have noticed, little by little we have been expanding to other toylines. So far, the toylines we have added haven't strayed too far away from Transformers (Gobots, Rock Lords, 3rd Party Unofficial Products), but stay tuned it will expand to others soon enough.
So to give you all a taste of what's to come here's a picture of FansProject's G3 Trailer, beautifully photographed by Spliffdizzle.
Soon enough you'll be seeing something other than Transformers in our "Photo of the Day" segments.

General Transformers Discussion / Picture Request: Prime RID
« on: February 08, 2012, 07:29:02 PM »
For those of you who are lucky enough to have some Robots in Disguise Prime toys. From what I've heard, only the Legion and possibly the Commander figures are packed with them. I'd like to see some pictures of the so called "File Cards" the toys are supposed to come packed with.
I'm a sucker for tech cards/trading cards and the prospect of their return has me all kinds of happy.
Thanks in advance,

Feature Requests/Announcements / Suggestion: Forum Feature Upgrades
« on: February 04, 2012, 12:35:25 PM »
Not sure if you've done them or not, but here are a few upgrades I would suggest loading:
Social Media Icons
Gamer IDs -- not sure on this one, but it could be cool.
New Profile Look -- I like the look, just don't think it should display IP addresses.
Those are just a few I found so far while poking around Simple Machines.

Help Us Build the Database / ID Number
« on: January 28, 2012, 05:55:10 PM »
I've been thinking about this for a while now, I don't know if it's the new forum look that's making me want to start new threads now
or the fact that I'm medicated :p, but we should have a field for product ID Numbers in a submitted record instead of chugging it in as part of the package record name. We already collect UPC, assortment numbers, and product codes so this shouldn't be too bad. Hasbro has been starting to use their own version of "ID numbers" recently. You can even try to say they have been using it for years. Few examples:
Generation 1, Energon or any of the combiners. The "combiner numbers" may not necessarily be ID Numbers, but you get my drift. All the Cyberverse DOTM toys definitely can be considered. Also, though not pictured, the Prime toyline use it as well with their Cyberverse subline and the First Edition toys.
Even if we don't use it for the Hasbro toys, they definitely can/will be used by the TakaraTomy releases. Actually they can be used by other toylines: Gobots, Kre-O, LEGO, Star Wars, Marvel Universe.
Thoughts?

Video Games Discussion / Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
« on: October 09, 2011, 07:15:18 AM »
Quote
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron continues the story of the Autobots and the Decepticons and their bitter civil war, but changes and improves upon so many of the fundamental ideas that the developer considers the game a natural successor rather than a true sequel.Source: GameInformer
Quote
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron transports you to the final days of the planet Cybertron where you will experience the darkest hours of the apocalyptic war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled journey through a wide range of missions and massive environments designed around each character's unique abilities. With the stakes higher than ever before, you play as a variety of Transformers, including Grimlock's nearly indestructible T-Rex form and the legendary Combaticons forming into the colossal Bruticus. Fight through both sides of the Transformers' most epic battles leading to their legendary exodus from their homeworld. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron allows you to go head-to-head as Autobots and Decepticons with its multi-player online mode. Create your own personalized character and weaponry with the most advanced and in-depth customization ever before seen in a Transformers video game.Product Description from GameStop
Play as BRUTICUS! I'm sold with that alone. The only things I have reservations on are:
Quote
Embark on an adrenaline-fueled journey through a wide range of missions and massive environments designed around each character's unique abilities. This words make me fear that the levels are character specific like the disappointing DOTM game, if that's the case I won't be buying this game on day one.
I've also heard rumors that Escalation or Co-Op mode may be taken out of the game. I hope those are just that: rumors. A sequel should never downgrade features the previous entry had, it should always strive to improve or add to those features.
Stay tuned with GameInformer's month-long coverage. For those that buy the featured issue: post details.

Feature Requests/Announcements / "New" Toylines
« on: September 03, 2011, 12:28:46 PM »
The ideas have been around for a long time now, but the recent conversations that have spawn from this thread, (http://www.shmax.com/Forums/viewtopic.p ... 1&start=30), have made me think about it more and more. Mike and I have been talking how to make it work on the database.
Diaclone and Challenge of the Gobots are easy enough, we can get started on this today with no issues (as far as I can see).
3rd Party stuff...I can see a place for it, but we have to limit our parameters. I don't think we should ever add knockoffs like the ones we usually see on KO Toys.
G.I.Joe. I think we can add this line easily. We have already been using mold info with the Generation 2 guns and recently with the Sky Striker and Cobra Commander release. Might as well do the rest.
Anyone else, think this is viable or am I just reaching for the stars?
