Transformers News / Banzai-tron the new Galvatron?

Entertainment Earth Has posted pictures of the new Voyager Banzai-Tron. This will be a repaint of Revenge of the Fallen Bludgeon. Entertainment Earth estimates Banzai-Tron to ship August 2010.
Now lets have some fun with the newly updated database...Thanks again to everyone who posted pics!!!!
Bludgeon has had a few figures we got G1 Pretender, RID Destructicon, ROTF Voyager and ROTF 2-Pack!
Banzai-Tron has only been a G1 Action Master and part of the Botcon 2009 Wings of Honor Villians set, which is a repaint of Energon Mirage.

Transformers News / Powercore Combiner Prices

In the April/May Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club(Join Here!) Hasbro stated the "Power Core Combiner segment" would have "two suggested retail prices of $9.99 and $19.99". They also talked about how the focus of this line was making combiners easier to collect for fans noting that some sets in the past had been hard to complete. It also mentions "interchangability" being a large focus by releasing "9 different 2-packs and 6-different 5-packs" that would have hundreds of combinations. It will be interesting to see how this series performs.

General Transformers Discussion / Brown Ravage.

I haven't had much luck with new pictures so I thought I might share a little something I had previously put together. I have two different G1 Ravages in my collection. The first is your normal 85 version of Ravage. The second is a Brown Ravage. Now for a while I assumed it was Diaclone. One day I looked into it and couldnt find anything to support a brown color other than someone selling a loose one that said it was a Diaclone. I decided that it was most likely some sort of KO. This is what I turned up. Its not too bad for sitting on top of my dryer with no lights. Now here is the problem J.E. Alvarez's Unofficial Japanese and Internationl Transformers(page 10 if your reading along at home) shows a picture of a brown Diaclone Ravage. However my question of debate I guess is the eyes. Does anyone know if the Diaclone Ravage would have had the front facing painted eyes? Like in this pic. I want to finally put this one to bed so if anyone has insight please share.

Transformers News / TF production begins move from China to Vietnam.

Seibertron has report that production of Transformers in Vietnam has begun. Takara Tomy announced last year its intentions to have production moved from China to Vietnam by the end of 2010. Actoys member feng423999 had posted images and a short video showning a finished Leader sized Starscream.

Shutterbug Club / Lens cleaning

I think part of my problem is the lens on my camera needs to be cleaned. Does anyone have tips for cleaning the lens on a digital camera?

The official Botcon 2010 page announced that the 2nd figure in this years 5 figure set would be G2 Breakdown! This figure is based on the Universe Sunstreaker and Sideswipe mold with a new head!

Shutterbug Club / Am I getting there?

I burnt one of my bulbs out today and was so determined to get a least one shot so I drug my photo box outside. Not a great idea but at least i got a shot. I tried to edit it but you can kinda see where things got bumpy thats because the shadow and grey parts were almost the same color no matter how I played with it so I eyed it. I just was wondering what am I doing right at least because I needs to win me some Transformers.
I hope to get more light bulbs by tomorrow.Here is the direct link.

Seibertron member KOtoys (who also runs their own site) has posted pics on Seibertron's Energon Pub of the upcoming Botcon exclusive Autobot Spark. There are several images of the figure in robot and vehicle mode as well as some nice comparison shots with other figures.

Transformers News / Toys R' Us Exclusives wave 2 of Animated Deluxe

TFW2005 reports they received an answer to the recent Hasbro Transformers Q and A. When asked about the four remaining unreleased Animated figures(Blackout, Ironhide, Rodimus Minor, Thundercracker) Hasbro Responded with this...
"The current plan for the release of the current Animated figures is this: Toys R' Us will be carrying two waves of Animated Deluxe. The first wave will be released this Spring and will include Arcee and Cybertronian Ratchet. The second wave will be released this fall and will include Rodimus Minor and Cybertronian Ironhide. While we cannot promise that any other figures will be released, we continue to examine all of our options to make those figures that were completed available to you."

Transformers News / 2 Marvel Tfs Canceled

The Allspark has reported that two of the Marvel Crossovers originally shown at SDCC 2009 have been cancel. The cancel figures are the Human Torch (blue repaint) and the Punisher (Captain America remold). When asked about their release in a Hasbro Marvel Q&A Hasbro responded with this...
"Unfortunately, these figures were dropped from the Crossovers line, but look for a new wave hitting this summer!"

Seibertron reported that Tfclub's (not be confused with The Official Transformers Collectors' Club) store on Taobao.com (A Chinese Auction website) listed Voyager/Night Ops Ratchet and Scout/Backfire with photos. No release information was provided but there are some good pictures.

Help Us Build the Database / off site for a few days

Im going to be off site for a few days. Got a busy weekend and wont be contributing much more that updating my collection database. I will be back full force by middle of next week hopefully preped and ready to go for the photo contest. PM me if you need anything I get email alerts.

Help Us Build the Database / Beast Wars alts covered

I just finished going through the North American Beast Wars looking for missing alt modes. I think I got them all. I did not cover mutant heads but Ill try and go back later. This should mean that at least all beast modes are accounted for in north america.
