i may be missing it but is there an icon or something that shows which threads i've posted in and which i've merely read?

A fine question! Until you brought it up I'd never looked into it, but I just happened to spot a link labeled "your posts" on the main forum page, upper right area. Is that what you're looking for?

that does work but that's not exactly what i was talking about.

i meant that if i was to look at the listing on the forums page i could see which i have read, posted in and whick were new, so far i'm not seeing a difference in them.
