Title: New toylines
Post by: Tanafor on December 10, 2024, 01:44:20 AM
Hi!
First time in the forums, a big hello to all of you.
I've found I'm missing  a couple of toylines:
1. Lucky Cat: https://showzstore.com/c/lucky-cat_0697
They have a couple of sublines

2. MechFansToys. They are makers more than a toyline, they mostly do knockoffs of 3P products, but at least they have one original toy, Huge Dragon: https://tfsource.com/mech-fans-toys/mf-34-huge-dragon/
3. ToyWolf. It seems they are out of the business, but they made several original, not Third Party toys. Mostly transformable toilets...: https://showzstore.com/c/toywolf_0612
4. Sci-Figure Industry: original transforming mechas: https://showzstore.com/c/sci-figure-industry_0693
5. Touch Toys: successor of the previous point. High-end transformable mechas: https://showzstore.com/c/touch-toys_0775

Welcome aboard, Tanafor! Let's take a look at your category requests:

1. Lucky Cat: https://showzstore.com/c/lucky-cat_0697
They have a couple of sublines
  • Micro Cosmos
  • Extreme Trans

Lucky Cat seems to make both upscaled KOs and original combiner/BeastBOX-style toys. We don't track KOs so their Extreme Trans toys are out, but we can track the Micro Cosmos toys. Added to the 3rd Party Products category.

2. MechFansToys. They are makers more than a toyline, they mostly do knockoffs of 3P products, but at least they have one original toy, Huge Dragon: https://tfsource.com/mech-fans-toys/mf-34-huge-dragon/
I need to talk to the other mods about this one. We'll come back to it.

3. ToyWolf. It seems they are out of the business, but they made several original, not Third Party toys. Mostly transformable toilets...: https://showzstore.com/c/toywolf_0612
They're weird, but they're original. Category added!

4. Sci-Figure Industry: original transforming mechas: https://showzstore.com/c/sci-figure-industry_0693
5. Touch Toys: successor of the previous point. High-end transformable mechas: https://showzstore.com/c/touch-toys_0775
These both look original and therefore worthy of an add. These guys and Toywolf are outside of the 3P category since they're making original characters.

6. MPH Studio: https://showzstore.com/c/mph-studio_0743
Not sure who asked for tinier toys than Dr. Wu makes, but they look like original sculpts. Added to the 3rd Party category.

7. Mechanical Skull Studio: https://showzstore.com/c/mechanical-skull-studio_0785
Nice to see Armada getting some more love. Added to 3rd Party.

OK, we've decided to add MechFans to the 3P section for Huge Dragon, as well as any other non-KO toys they might make.

Do we still have no Dungeons and Dragons 40th anniversary line? And I just received my HasLab Ghost Trap & PKE Meter, and I was going to add that to my collection. But I was stunned to find no Ghostbusters toy line either.

I just added some rudimentary GB and D&D categories. When you have the chance, please let us know some subcategories that we should add.

This is a good place to start for the D & D stuff.
