Help Us Build the Database / Re: Help me categorize this one

Mike
It's funny.... I got further down the line cataloging and was working on my one Technobot. It didn't fit nicely into the listed category. So I decided to come back to the forums.
On to your question first. Yes, I double checked my three Terrorcons and verified what they are. Once I saw they didn't fit the listings provided, I created the new records. You'll see that I removed the ones I had previously in my collection list, and changed them over to the new created records.
Now to my question. Strafe here http://www.shmax.com/package_details/18 ... gn_indent_ matches the one I have. The website listing shows the product/assortment # to be 5873 / 5723. Mine has a product/assortment # of 5873 / 5716. Is the listing a possible error?
Thanks, Ken

Everything I see about it tells me it is still factory sealed. And it is authentic American release, not a Chinese G1 issue. Otherwise BigBadToyStore owes me a refund!
The product/assortment # reads 5934G / 5733, same as the regular gold weapons set.
I guess mine would be the rarest find, huh?
It's possible several of the earliest releases had no grey border. I found an AFA Trailbreaker with no grey border here on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Transformers-1984-T ... 3357d937c5
I think I remember one of the Hartman brothers posting someplace about the early jets, among others, coming without the grey border.

Help Us Build the Database / Help me categorize this one
January 09, 2010, 08:11:05 PM
As I mentioned before, I've been cataloging several of my Transformers. Now I've come into a conundrum for placement of this particular one. I have a MOSC Generation 1 Rewind/Steeljaw. Here are the two categories in which I could place them:
North America > Generation 1 > Cassettes > Assortment 2 > a (gold weapons)
North America > Generation 1 > Cassettes > Assortment 2 > b (silver weapons)
Here's the conundrum.... Rewind has the silver weapons, but Steeljaw has the gold weapons.
Should I just pick one and call it a day? Or does a new entry need to be added? I guess mine best matches the gold weapons with the assortment # matching as 5733. This is opposed to the assortment number for the silver weapons which has 5734 for the assortment #.
Here is an image for reference:
North America > Generation 1 > Cassettes > Assortment 2 > a (gold weapons)
North America > Generation 1 > Cassettes > Assortment 2 > b (silver weapons)

Help Us Build the Database / Suggested add/change for Generation 1 Skids
January 07, 2010, 05:57:41 PM
I was going to catalog my G1 Skids and did some closer checking for him in this category:
North America > Generation 1 > Cars > Assortment 2 (no rubsign)
This is the Product Code/Assortment # provided for the record: 5762E / 5765. The picture provided in package actually has this one on its front when you take a closer look: 5762E / 5750
The one I have has the 5762E / 5765, but it does have the rubsign. I can't confirm that there actually is a Skids withOUT rubsign, but if it did it is likely the 5750 would be appropriate.
Using your better judgement, I suggest changing the product code to 5750 on the current record. Then a new one for the Skids with rubsign reflecting the product code of 5765 can be added.

Help Us Build the Database / Suggested change for G1 Cutthroat
September 26, 2009, 07:24:36 PM
I tried to do a new record for Generation 1 Terrorcon Cutthroat under this category:
North America > Generation 1 > Special Teams > Mini-Vehicles > assortment 2
It would not let me complete the action as it was asking to be linked to something else everytime I clicked the button to submit. So I instead went to another category here:
North America > Generation 1 > Special Teams > Mini-Vehicles > w/ decoy
I tried to do a modify record on this one as it better matches the one I currently own. The only thing is, mine does not have the decoy. Perhaps this one I own does deserve a separate record of it's own? It has the no rubsign indent, but like I said... no decoy on the card either.

Bugs? On www.shmax.com? Ha ha, you kill me... / [RESOLVED]Figure title needs fixing
January 04, 2009, 06:50:45 PM
A minor thing here... just a simple misspelled word.
Here is the title and category:
Bulkhead (wtih bonus Activators Bumblebee)
Transformers > North America > Animated > Leaders
Fix the "wtih" and all will be fine.

Well, I dug deep, and I did indeed find a bug in the flash sig generation code (the culprit? the " character in the statues category). I've fixed the bug, and verified that your flash sig is now working correctly. Onto the next!Well done! At least to a certain extent. I have checked and verified that the GIF is working. I still do not see the flash version working as of yet, and this is with another computer checking it as well. Perhaps the server(s?) haven't caught up yet?
Anyways, I suspect the problem may still be within my profile. Now clicking on "my collection" it shows that I own 1497 total Transformers which I have checked. This is opposed to the "top collectors" section on the righthand side which lists me for 1408.

When viewing the flash version, I can see the general grey box with www.shmax.com on it. There are no tabs present, but the "line" for the vertical scroll bar is present.
And I'm sorry to say, the GIF version doesn't appear fixed on my end.
Is this perhaps a problem with clicking boxes on Transformer entries I added before they have officially been added (approved) to the inventory?

Bugs? On www.shmax.com? Ha ha, you kill me... / [RESOLVED]Dynamic Sig problems
November 11, 2008, 07:28:44 AM
Whenever I click on the link for the dynamic signature, it doesn't post properly. The flash version doesn't show anything on it, and the gif doesn't even load. I just get the red X for a picture not loaded.
Any ideas what is causing it?

Feature Requests/Announcements / New suggestion
October 25, 2008, 04:43:26 PM
I realize I may be in a very small minority asking for this feature, but here goes...
For all the figures listed, there are the two blocks to check. Either "I own it" or "wishlist." I myself would like to see another check for "on order" or something to that effect. It seems more often than not that I am ordering Tranformers. If I'm already tracking them as being "on order" I can locate them through this feature quicker. Once said Item enters my possesion, I can change where my check is placed to "I own it."
Sorry if someone already suggested this.
I looked through several of the other suggestions and didn't see that anyone had the same idea.

Two of the Hard Hero Busts under this category need a fix.
North America > Busts & Statues > Hard Hero > Busts
Both have the Manufacturer listed as Hasbro instead of the proper Hard Hero.
