So, now that there are third party products and Gobots, with the potential for more and more toy lines to be added, how do we handle things like Revoltech? It's its own toyline, but there are already Revoltech records in Transformers. Is there a way to link a record to multiple spots in the category tree?

I think the rationale is that since the releases of Hot Rodimus are far enough apart that the second record is warranted (2008 vs. 2011).

If the releases were closer together, say a few months, or even a year, we can assume that the parts were probably all from the same batch.  It's possible that TakaraTomy cranked out "x" number of units, but only put 1/2x out on the market, not knowing how well they would sell, keeping the others for a "rainy day", or perhaps for a planned second release.

But since these Hot Rodimus releases were 3 years apart, I'm betting against this scenario.

I just don't think of if that way. If it's identical to the original release, save for maybe the product code, I don't think it deserves a new record. Henkei Hound and Prime got re-releases two years after their release, but they didn't get new records (and I don't think they should).

It just seems really foreign to me, i.e. that it genuinely matters, even to a full MISB collector.

I was just curious why C-05 is getting a new stub:

while Henkei Convoy, Hound, Astrotrain, Streak, etc haven't, even though they've been "re-run" in the same way.

Yeah, it doesn't really bother me. It's pretty cool, and it's been expensive getting there, but I'm not worried. I may be the highest rank with a significant number of loose figures, so I'm sure anything can happen with loose vs MISB/MOSC grading.

To focusing all my collecting might on G1...

Nice work, RC. It's been a while since we've seen any movement in the top ten. That must have been some DOTM haul you picked up on Monday...
Pretty much everything except the Robo-Power figures...it also helped that my Gaiacross set came in.

Now, on the front page, I'm #9, but if I drill into my collection, it says I'm #17. Is one based on figure count and the other on dollar value?

554 to go. I also just noticed I finally floated into the top ten collectors. Woot!

- Yet another redesign of the collection interface's date picker. This one takes us back to the text entry + calendar method, but introduces "shortcuts" for "today" and "release date".
- now removing "add to my collection" links for newly submitted but unreviewed items, as well as "upcoming" items
I'm so happy I can hit "today" now with one click. Thanks!

There are some Hunt for the Decepticons Multipacks in the Generations Multipacks category:

Sorry. I was in a hurry yesterday... :-)

"Twin Boomfight" was the place holder name for Highbrow in Wal-Mart's computers before he was named "Highbrow". There's now a Highbrow entry, but the old "Twin Boomfight" entry was never removed. It probably should be.

There's still an entry for "Twin Boomfight" which is Highbrow:

I like "iron punch" FWIW.

I wonder if it is possible that this line doesn't really have a true "name" (other than the umbrella Transformers line) and that "Hunt for the Decepticons" and "Autobot Alliance" are just promos/campaigns that are run under the line, but aren't meant to be considered proper names for the toy line.
I think that's probably the most right answer. I hadn't noticed the text on the cards from BotCon, so I guess it's OK.

Right now it's "Autobot Alliance", which is TakaraTomy's post-movie Movie line. I recommend we switch it to "Hunt for the Decepticons" as that's the best agreed upon name (Hasbro even used it at BotCon).
