ick....lol. I hate programming, maybe one day, lol. Till then this is going fast enough for me :P

thank you for the advice and I will go out and do more research down the road :)

I talked to my friend for a while last night about CSS and did some more research. It's a bit late in the game to do it now (like 8 years too far down the road), so I'll just keep doing the individual updates, not a big deal. Once that is done I'll create a template page to make all my other pages from. It's going fast enough :)

Also I'll need to eventually get a link to your site on my links page and what not.

At the very least you'd have to go into every page and do the include for the css file, and then you could do sort of generic changes to things like background color, image formatting, etc. But if you want to have finer control over things, you'd need to go in and add classes to the various elements on your pages. That would definitely take a while, but it'd probably be worth it in the long run, as once everything is all properly tagged, you could do all your future changes in one single place: the css file. You don't need me to explain any of this stuff--just do a google search for "css tutorial"--there are thousands of examples online.

Well I have no idea how to do a CSS page, and from what I read it's help. I still have to go in and tweak every single character page individually , but it'd go a bit faster. Is there a way I can do it and effect the hundreds of pages I already have made?

Hey! Thank you for the happy b-day wishes, sorry I haven't been on here a lot, been tied up with other work.
I decided on a final color scheme and did all the major pages in the new style. Also figured out how to center the pages; I didn't know there was a button to do it >< ). The individual character pages will be much more time consuming, but they will be done as I find time. then I'll go back and make lists easier to read.

OK, I'm starting to play around with some color ideas for the site other than my old lack background, yellow text.
I think I want a black text with a background to bring that color out (not white) and still have some flash to it.
Right now I tried an orange backdrop with black text/black links, once visited the links turns a blueish color, but that seems to contrast too much with the orange background. What do you folks think? check it out here:Transformers on the Shelf

5: Does anyone know if there are any programs that can build buttons or nav menus that are free? I've tried several programs, but to extract the code or layout is always a charge item. if not, no biggie.
Not sure I quite understand--you don't want to do any coding, but you want to be able to "extract" the code from somewhere without being charged for it? Have you looked into any of the various "suckerfish" solutions? You do typically have to install a small block of javascript for the simplest ones, but after that it's just a matter of writing basic html lists.

There are thousands of examples (ie http://users.tpg.com.au/j_birch/plugins ... /#examples) of various flavors on the web, just search for "suckerfish". You don't need to understand how to code for most of them, but you will need to be able to write some simple css/html.

Good luck!
I'll have to check into those, thank you. The programs I was trying out let you build nav menus in a special program. They then generate the coding for me and all I have to do is paste it into site builder where I want it. so no real coding needed.

ugh, lol. Forgot I don't have a link in my signature here.

Hey! Well after about a month of debating what to do with my website I've decided it's time to slowly break it down and re-vamp/clean it up. What this means/does not mean:
1: No I'm not a programmer, no I'm not looking for programmers, no I do not want to borrow or look at coding.
2: I use Yahoo SiteBuilder, no it's not fancy, but it gets the job done and the memory is insane.
3: I'll most likely be ditching the long standing Black vs Yellow theme on my site for something simpler.
4: As I update here and there I'll be posting what I've changed and any feedback is welcome. The your site sucks comments etc, are easy enough to ignore, so don't waste your time. On a side note, if it looks amateur, it's because I am; even after the 6+ years I've been working on my site.

6: I might be getting rid of all my stock photos except for a few scans here and there and rebuilding each character page from the ground up. what do you all think?

Right now that's all I can think of. I might not be collecting but I could never just ditch the hobby.

Hey, I'm at home for a day with my collection and took some test shots of loose figures, but not really liking what I have available for "white" backgrounds here. So it might be a while before I get pics to you guys, sorry :( I'll keep helping on lists when i can :)

I went ahead and added an "Other" category at the top toyline level, and also for companies. Please be sure to note the company in the comment field or something, so the moderator can make the necessary changes. Thanks much!

For catagories that aren't there and the same for companies maybe an "other" selection should be available?
right on! I'll make sure to keep adding notes :)

Awesome! I have no idea what the heck a beastformer is--for all I know you made the whole thing up--so we'll have to wait for Engledogg to come along and bless them all, but I just wanted to thank you for showing a little enthusiasm and joining us in our lonely little corner of the web. Now if you REALLY want to help, you'll put those model kits on hold and go scare up a nice digital camera. Just to pull a number out of nowhere, I'd say there are at least 2177 part and figure photos alone that you could contribute! (check your "How I can help" link)

OK, that should be all 180 SD Beastformers done! Sorry for the typos here and there. I'm now trying to get what data I can on the gumball beastformers. I'm also doing research and compiling lists of model kits.
Right now I dont have access to my camera or my collection to help with pics (you have pics of most the items I have). I'll talk to a few people and I might get permission to borrow some of the beastformer pics. When I do get to my collection and get some time I'll contribute what pictures I can :)

Great job!  I have an easy way to fill up those packages, so don't sweat adding any figures to the packages you created...I'll handle that for ya.
You mean the typos?

OK, I started putting in the quick entries for the guys, remeber their numbers were not the same as the beastformers and yes there are 180 diff beasts in the SD set! Got through #5 so far, it helps that I can hit the back button when I'm done and just change a word or two in the last entry to create a new on, makes this go a lot faster than I thought.
