He's a fun character on the cartoon. Your camera should serve you well. I have the D5100 and I quite like it. I just picked up a 18-70mm lens for it and its got great colour.

I like how the Decepticon symbols show prominently.
I missed out on the Starscream figures, he and Megatron never showed up in my part of Canada. I really wanted the Waspinator and Chop Shop figures that came with them!

Hmm I thought my photos were getting better. 
The white balance is a bit wonky, I dunno it just doesn't come through right.
Otherwise its bristol board, overhead halogen lamp, two 65W incandescent bulbs on each side and not a lot of diffuse light.
I dunno if a light tent would make that much of a difference or not.
