Autobot Skids. Now as I understand it, this character caused some controversy after viewers got a look at him in the movie. I'm not sure of the details, but I have to say that I, too, find him offensive. I mean, just
look at those colors--total fashion
faux pas. Forget about clashing with the Decepticons, Skids, you've got enough trouble with those clashing greens. And how are you supposed to be "in disguise" when your outfit is visible from space? Apparently, the loud colors and garish bling-bling of Skids was patterned after a popular type of figure from youth culture, and while the producers of the movie have declined to name names, it didn't take me long to narrow the possibilities down to a single, obvious
influence.
