LongHaul's recent photos--you never know what you're going to find in there. Today's photo caught my eye--it features the
Devastator Showdown Track Set. Just have a look at that toy! It features a very realistic rendition of Devastator, just as he appeared in the movie, with great animatronic hands that swipe menacingly at Skids as he rockets along an elevated concrete overpass that crumbles as it--oh whoops, hang on, I guess I'm looking at the wrong part of the image. If you squint, you can just make out what the toy
actually looks like down in the lower right corner! Honestly, it still looks pretty fun. But I'm also intrigued by the "Lights and Voices" caption seen on the right side of the box. Note that Optimus Prime gets top billing over Devastator, despite
not being included in the box. Now that's some star power! It took some doing, but I managed to acquire a transcription of some of the dialog this toy produces:
Devastator: "ROOARRGGGHHH!"
Optimus Prime: "
Devastator! You'll not cause any more damage as long as
I'm around!"
Skids: "Get out of here, ya big ham! Go steal scenes from someone else. You're not even
in this toy!"
Peter Cullen:"Oh, well, I-I... I just thought--sorry, I was in the next studio recording lines for a different toy, and I figured as long as I was here I would just stop in and--"
Devastator and Skids:"Just
go!"
