Admittedly, this feature isn't exactly exciting in a big way, but it's something I've been putting off for more than a year, and I finally got around to it. Essentially, photograph submitters are credited individually if they differ from the person who supplied the rest of the data entry. For example, let's say Bob enters a record, but supplies kind of a fuzzy photo. Well, if Jake comes along and updates the record with a better photo, you'll see it noted on the details page: "Photo courtesty of Jake". Going further, if you enter a record, and use a photograph from one of the entities that has given the site permission to use their photographs (such as BigBadToyStore), you can indicate that when uploading the photo. I've generalized the system such that any member of the site can be flagged as a "photo donor", and if that member supplies a small banner ad, that will be used on the details page, and it will link to the website they've provided.
So, if you're looking to drum up some links for your own site, one way to do it is to list yourself as a photo donor, and you will be added to the system in the same way that Hasbro and BBTS have. I still need to add the hooks to the member system to make that something you can set up on your own, but in the meantime, if you're interested just send me an email with a small banner around 200px wide, and I'll set up the rest.
