Okay, so I'm stalling on the big features again by getting distracted by silly trifles, but this one's pretty nifty, anyway. What I've done is put together a page that shows all the faction symbols currently in use by the database, along with some basic stats and commentary for each:

http://www.shmax.com/Faction_Guide

My plan was to add a little commentary for each of the symbols, but as you can see I ran out of steam on that idea very quickly. I'll pick at it over the next few days, but if any of you would like to take a crack at coming up with some colorful copy, I'll be glad to use it.

In the meantime, what do you think?

What, no Blendtron logo? lol.

OK problems with your Star Wars logos...

Tie Advanced logo = Galactic Empire

Jedi Starfighter = I cannot find a definition for this logo. This logo only appears on the Eta-2 Actis Class Light Interceptors made by Kuat Systems Engineering. Their logo is quite different. Regardless, this isn't a faction logo. You will notice that the Galactic Republic logo is also on these toys.

Wheel Bike = Confederacy of Independent Systems. This logo appears on the Wheel Bike of the General Grevious toy. The wheel bike itself (Tsmeu-6 personal wheel bike) was designed by Z-Gomot Ternbuell Guppat Corp, and that corporation has no logo.

X-Wing Starfighter = Alliance to Restore the Republic. The New Republic logo is different from this one.

Sith Infiltrator = Old Sith Empire. This is an unfortunate error with this symbol, as it was not the Sith symbol used at the time of Darth Maul.

Slave I = Mandalorians.

Also, the Triceratops logo is for Maximal Dinobots, not just Maximals.

You are missing the G2 Decepticon symbol.

Wow, information with references! I'm stunned into silence. Lucky thing I can still type. Okay, so I fixed everything as you specified, though I left the Dinobots as-is, simply because on the packages it says "Heroic Maximal" and not "Dinobot", and that's what I go by. I actually do have the G2 decepticon symbol, but no one's entered any G2 Decepticons yet, so it doesn't turn up in the query. This has actually been bugging me for a few days, so when I finish with my current feature, I'll either add one myself, or tune the query to include empty sets. Thanks much for the info, it's a welcome surprise.

p.s. Oh yeah! Blendtron! Do any of the toys use it, or is it something that just comes out of the comics, or something?
