You might be thinking, "Hey...that's not Grimlock...where are the massive serrated jaws and razor-sharp metallic claws?  Isn't that the dad from The Wonder Years?"  Technically, you're right (well, not about The Wonder Years dad).  It's not Grimlock, but his Pretender shell.  Pretenders were one of the later gimmicks used in the G1 line.  Tremble in fear at his slicked-back hair and friendly smile!
