Well I just started using your great database here and just came up a little short on a few things.
Now I don't know if the general public is authorized to add into the data base but your missing the last wave or two of the Star Wars Transformers including Luke Skywalker/Snowspeeder , AT-AT pilot/AT-AT, Commander Cody/Turbo Tank, Obi Wan/Delta 7 Jedi Fighter, and the repaint of the Republic Gunship.

Also is there a way to seperate Mini-cons, Headmasters, Cassettes, Powermasters, and Targetmasters from the main figure. I have a loose Mongo but no Weirdwolf and its off shooting the collection a small bit.

I think anyone can add entries if they register. link should be in the top-right corner. (below the banner)

Yeah, there's tons of stuff missing. Some stuff is even mislabeled. (G1 Scorponok is misc, instead of with the Headmasters?? Maybe the catalog doesn't classify him, but doesn't his own box and/or instructions? we know he is a Headmaster even if nothing official states it.
One time I even saw a figure in two sections. What was it... RID Mega pack Axer VS Sideways. It was in the exclusives section as well as... the Megas section, or was it misc? It would be fine if items were in multiple categories at once, as long as they weren't separate listings, because if they are separate, it shows up in the total tallies as a figure you're missing, or two figures you have when you only have one.)

I'm sure he's intending to put the feature in at some point.
I think it's much worse for the old mini-cassettes, since less people collect those figures unopened, and I really want to be able to distinguish between owning my Steeljaw with gold weapons, and my Eject figure with silver weapons. (or is it Rewind? either way, it's only coincidence that I have the figure that was sold with Steeljaw and not the repaint of him. I have 1 Ravage, 1 Rumble, and 1 Frenzy, and I can't tally that correctly.)

Feel free to add 'em yourself! You can't do any harm, as a moderator will look over each entry before it's approved, and you'll be credited with the submission. Difficulty: get photos! You can look on BBTS for them (we have permission), or take one yourself.

I'll have to think about that one. Right now there's really no easy, logical way to do that kind of thing without complicating the eBay stuff, which is complicated enough already. But I'll mull it over some.

In the meantime, it's great to have ya aboard, and keep those suggestions coming.

Ah, I see what ya mean. Okay, I moved him into the Headmasters "Other" group.

Right you are! I blew away the spare--good eye.

Yeah, that's a tricky one. I've spent more than a few hours thinking this one over in the tub. I'm not giving up on it, but I think it may be one of those problems that would create more trouble and complexity than it's worth. Maybe I'll start a thread on it sometime and we can all really discuss it and see if we can figure it out, but for right now I'm off to bed. Thanks much for the fixes, CD

Well, personally, I think it's NECESSARY if you want to be all-inclusive, to collectors of loose items, otherwise it's exclusively for MISB collectors.
Why don't you just make it so that there's a "have it / want it" checklist for the existing system of individual figures? (it would automatically check off the individual figures contained in packages if you checked off a package. when you add in the ability to add extras of a figure/set, it'll just add one of each figure within the package)
I guess the only thing that might mess with is... the listing of overall collections. although really the MISB listing wouldn't change. it would just add a new listing which would probably be slightly larger. Haha! More options to tally the collection!

Well, factor in the fact in the near future I'll be expanding the collection system to the point where you can tag an item that you own as being either "loose" or "misb". That's mainly so that the eBay value appraisal will be more accurate--I'll admit it won't help folks trying to keep an eye on say, their mold completion value.

Believe me, I considered your approach. The trouble is that there would then be two disparate collection lists to maintain, and it gets logically twisty when someone wants to add/remove something from either table. I could blow away the package checklist and just use the figure one, but then the eBay stuff turns into an even bigger mess, because now I have to decide which auctions contain which items.

The way I currently look at is if you have only say, "Ravage" from the "Ravage and Rumble" set, then what you actually have is an incomplete, loose version of the "Ravage and Rumble" set. When the system goes to appraise your collection, it will note that you have selected "loose/incomplete", and will match your item with "loose" auctions from eBay, and I think you'll find that the appraisal will work out fairly well that way.

But I will give this all some more heavy thought, I promise! There's always a way!

Well okay, not really--I still need to add the new packaging entries, but I think I got most of the figures that Darthirian mentioned. Tag away!
