When I am looking at products, Dinobots subline for example, I have various sorting tools on to see which is most valuable or which is most commonly collected.
Often when the individual listings come up, I will end up on page -1 or page 0 with no entries on the page.
Moving forward will then get me to the entries.

I think the various sorting features I am using are causing the database to display more pages per product subline than actually exist.

Not a biggy, but just something I've noticed.
Thanks!

I've encountered something similar to this.  Not sure if it's the same thing you're experiencing, Tusko, but here goes:

Let's say you have your settings to 20 items per page, and you're on page 2 of 2 since there are 30-some items in whatever category you're looking at.

You then decide, 20 isn't enough per page, and then bump it up to 50 items per page...you then end up on a page with no items.

Try it with G1 Italy.

Go here:
http://www.shmax.com/database/808?num_results=20&page=1

and set the items per page to 20 if you haven't done so already.

Then click to page 2:
http://www.shmax.com/database/808?num_results=20&page=2

then change the items per page to 50.

You end up here:
http://www.shmax.com/database/808?num_results=50&page=2

Yes, this is the issue I am trying to describe, Mike.
Thank you!
Although I don't change the number of items displayed.  Still I can have a blank (initial) view with negative pages. Clicking on page 1 corrects the issue.

Ah, okay. So should I always set the page back to 1 when changing items per page?

That would fix what I described, but somehow Tusko seems to be ending up with no results on his initial page (with no items-per-page change involved)?  I'm not sure what would be causing that to happen.  Maybe changing categories?  If you go from Italy to Greece (which only has 8 entries at the moment) in the link above, you end up with similar/no results:

Okay, that's a good start. What steps did you follow to arrive there?

Hope this works.

I'm betting you arrived here after initially viewing a category that had more than 20 items in it and were on at least the second page and then clicked Toasters, right?

Yes.  I don't recall exactly but I've been trying to work through all the categories.  That path would make sense to me.

Got it, thanks guys. Both issues should now be fixed. I'll do a post in the features forum in a sec with the details...
