On second thought... I'm not sure how obvious it is to people that clicking on the picture just expands the picture, but the name will show them a whole new page with a lot more goodies...

Yeah, I gotta agree with wajo in that it might not be as intuitive as before. 

Before, with the "list" form, the part name links were pretty obvious and more people likely clicked on the links instead of the photos, just due to the way it was set up.

Maybe, after"Contains:", put "(Click each thumbnail to see a larger photo, click the part name to go to that record)" or something like that?

Per feedback from Wajo and Engledogg, I've restored the underline to the part name links, and added a hint to the top of the part list.

we are getting there. But truthfully, I don't think it is enough. I still think newcomers will gaze over the fine print and not realize the buried treasure in the link under the picture.

Maybe the gallery can have a link to the product detail page, but specifically say 'Product/Part Detail' and have that link only when viewing a gallery outside of the product page itself. So you won't have the link when viewing all of the views of one product when you are already at that page.

On the bottom include a link to the detail page of the item pictured.
Clearly word the link that it is for a more detailed page of the item pictured.
Only include this link on galleries where the user isn't already viewing the picture from that page.

I think so. I'll repeat it just to make sure I have it down, and you can correct me if I'm off. When someone clicks on a thumbnail and brings up the photo viewer lightbox, you want to see a link (on the lightbox) that says "Click for details page", but only if you're not already on the page that the link would navigate to. Right?

correct. It is definitely better. I still see the link to the details page when viewing the picture from the details page.
