- fix automatic setting of condition widgets (if you set current condition to "sealed", and bought condition is "loose", bought condition should pop to "sealed"; reported by Engledogg)

How strict is that? I mean, technically, a product can never be Sealed if it's been opened but, you can acquire the pieces to make a loose product technically opened.

You should still be able to change it. I think he means the automatic selection, which just really saves an extra click.

The widgets are wired up (and always have been) such that you can't set the current condition to one that is better than the purchased condition. It seemed logical at the time, but I'll admit I hadn't considered Antron's philosophy. Maybe I could allow a little wiggle room for that one case... let me talk it over with the mods a little and I'll get back to you.

If you could wire it up that if "loose" is chosen for purchased condition, the current condition would default to "loose", but would allow the change to "opened" for current condition, that would work for me as, like Antron said, you can always buy a box.

Dumba$$ that used to buy everything...not so much anymore.

That's my logic. TBH I would have wired them the same way by default as well. I only thought of it because I got 4 alternators for $60 and kind of thinking about trying to complete them. (Only missing boxes and Inst sheets) I don't know how set I am on that though. It's a hard pill that it would cost me as much for the box and sheet as it cost me for the actual toy. I just saw the OP and wanted to make sure we didn't get painted into a corner. Thanks for listening guys.

Ask, and ye gets. It should now work just like you guys say: if you set "current" to "opened" when "bought" is on "loose", "bought" will switch to "opened" as well, but you can then switch it back to "loose" and it won't complain. Let me know if I didn't get it right.

This may be irrelevant but, Why does "Bought" have 5 options and "Current" have 4, with Select being the extra option in Bought?

It's because I rely on the "bought condition" for the appraisal system. I default it to select so that I can be reasonably sure I can trust the information when it is set to something. I'm not currently using "current condition" for anything, so I default it to "sealed" for convenience (though I have yet to examine the numbers and determine if "sealed" is indeed the most common currenct condition). I should probably add a default "select" to current as well for consistency, but I know people are quick to get annoyed whenever I add an extra click.

Ahh, I see. That makes scence to me. :-)
