I'm looking at your page, spliff, with 60 results per page and clicking "jump to" brings up "page 80", so that's at least 4800 photos. It turns out to be 81 pages of 60 photos each. Actually, since we start at page "0" now, for some reason, there are really 82 pages. Once you get up to page "
82" (actually the 83rd page), it shows no results. Maybe because we start at 0 now but still starts at one to keep track, hence the last page of nothing? Not sure.
The left column is, for some reason (incorrectly? maybe not) showing 895. I'm betting it's only displaying the # of product photos since you do have 15 pages of product photos, which would be around 900 photos. Or it's showing the number of products "affected", meaning those products for which you either submitted a product photo or an associated part photo.
Would it be possible to work in a more-obvious "# of results" line somewhere on the page so a user knows instantly how many results they're looking at instead of having to look at the left column? Especially in this case...the only way to get an accurate number of photos submitted is play around with the page options.
If possible, I wouldn't mind if this carried over to the database, search results, browsing, etc., either.
