[RESOLVED]Dynamic Sig problems

Whenever I click on the link for the dynamic signature, it doesn't post properly. The flash version doesn't show anything on it, and the gif doesn't even load. I just get the red X for a picture not loaded.

Any ideas what is causing it?

Well, the gif should be fixed. When you say the flash version doesn't show anything on it, do you mean you don't see anything at all, or that one of the tabs is blank?

When viewing the flash version, I can see the general grey box with www.shmax.com on it. There are no tabs present, but the "line" for the vertical scroll bar is present.


And I'm sorry to say, the GIF version doesn't appear fixed on my end.

Is this perhaps a problem with clicking boxes on Transformer entries I added before they have officially been added (approved) to the inventory?

I'll spend some time looking into the Flash thing today. As for the GIF version, I can see yours with no trouble:



Not sure what the issue is, but adding un-approved items shouldn't cause any trouble. We'll get to the bottom of this!

Well, I dug deep, and I did indeed find a bug in the flash sig generation code (the culprit? the " character in the statues category). I've fixed the bug, and verified that your flash sig is now working correctly. Onto the next!

Well done! At least to a certain extent. I have checked and verified that the GIF is working. I still do not see the flash version working as of yet, and this is with another computer checking it as well. Perhaps the server(s?) haven't caught up yet?

Anyways, I suspect the problem may still be within my profile. Now clicking on "my collection" it shows that I own 1497 total Transformers which I have checked. This is opposed to the "top collectors" section on the righthand side which lists me for 1408.

Ah, the top collectors thing is unrelated. What's going on there is that there are two collection systems under the hood. The first is the original system, where you click checkboxes. But over the last few months, I've put together a super-secret new system that is much more sophisticated. The "Top Collectors" is currently showing stats culled from the new system, which I haven't updated in a while. Once I launch the new system, everything will sort of equalize and be back to normal.

As for the flash sig, it was working about a half an hour ago, but now I see that it isn't. Sigh. I'll take another as soon as I finish this other bug I'm working on. Thanks for being patient...

Fixed again. This one had me pretty baffled at first, but I finally realized that your wishlist was so long it was overflowing the data storage put aside for the generated sig data! I've increased the storage quite a bit, and we'll see how things go, but I may have to cap things at some point (say, by showing a maximum of 500 wish list items in the sig).

Whoops! Sorry, that was just the result of a debug setting I was using to look into his problem. Strange that no one noticed it before now. Anyway, fixed. Thanks for bringing that to my attention...

I have a quick question/problem.  Both I and asquian's uncommon toy is the same(Big Rig Blaster), but it says that no other collectors have that toy.  Also 6 collectors have completed the 2007 Movie Blaster toy line but it says that the Number Collected is 0.  I thought it was kinda strange that no one else bought that toy(cause its awesome).  Keep up the Site, I love it.

P.S.   I like the download collection feature, I had to do that a few years ago for proof with homeowners insurance and it was a pain, took me like 2 months to itemize everything and get prices.   :evil:

Good eye, sir. I sort of missed a step when I converted all of your old collections over to the new system. I just ran a little script to fix it, and all should be well from here on out. Thanks for the bug, and keep 'em coming.
