Are the production and assortment numbers printed on the box? If so, where?

Excellent question! Yes, they're always on the box (though not all toys have product and assortment numbers). It'll usually be on the front of the packaging somewhere, tucked away in a corner, and look something like "45927/45920". I'll see if I can whip up an image later. I should also add that Japanese toys don't seem to use Hasbro's product/asst num system. I haven't actually taken the time to figure out what it is they do use, if anything, but for now don't bother scrutinizing them for these numbers.

Great work on those submissions! I believe you're the first member to make use of the fancy new user modification system--be sure to mention that on your resume. Now then, *rubs hands* got a camera?

 Glad I could help. Yes, I have a camera, but I'm too busy with school at the moment to take pictures. Once I finish school and get a job, though, I'll help fill in as many gaps as I can.

same question but for the henkei figures, are they beside the barcode? there is a 6 digit number above the barcode and beside it has the barcode broken up into  three sections, those are the only numbers i can find on the box

The Japanese toys don't use Hasbro's product/assortment numbering scheme. I haven't quite figured out yet what it is they do use, but in the meantime I'll settle for the UPC...
