Finally got around to doing some long overdue work on the dynamic signature. I've been receiving reports that some other forums have limits placed on the max size for the signature images, and have been silently yanking shmax signatures from profiles. Who can blame them? For most of us mortals it's not a problem, but for the select few of you with truly epic collections, the nifty multi-page animation was resulting in file sizes of up to 160k.
I attacked the problem on two fronts:
1. I'm now using different software to generate the animated gif. It has a much better optimization scheme, and most signatures have dropped in size by almost half (Engledogg's went from 160k to 84k).
2. If you're still over, there is now a one-page "compact" version of the signature. You can get the bbcode from the
sig help page.
