Botshots a cash grab?

I see these as the HOC, Titanium and other small static representations of characters.  I do admit I'm impressed they transform, and I like that they are a good size. 

Still I'm waiting for them to show up in the discount bin.

I've just bought the first wave of 5 single packs, and although I'll never play with them as they were intended [ie.; "Rock, Scissors, Paper, Lizard, Spock" style Battle Game], I kind of like 'em.
And, I agree, these should not be categorized in the TF:Prime section, as they're definitely not TF:Prime figures, but rather more like a Universe selection.

Yeah, they were created as a default in the Prime category well before we had any deep knowledge of them.  They will be getting their own category shortly.

I love these little guys. I don't plan on going full retard on them but I will be buying quite a few more. They're just good simple fun.

The Launchers are the best. I like to set Prime up (pity you can't use anyone else to tow his launcher) in his launcher and line the rest up a few inches away for a domino effect. Makes me lol every time.

I'm thinkin' these'll be nephew fodder.  No place for them in my little collection for now.

Thanx Dude, I noticed the move. S'too bad they weren't actually labelled as Universe, cuz that category sorta suits 'em.

Content-wise, yep, they do share a lot with the Universe (2008) line - figures spanning multiple generations within one line.  Categorically, though, Universe is a defunct line.

Bot Shots are categorized the same way we do Titaniums, Attacktix, etc...even though they have figures that span multiple eras, we give them their own category.

In trailer mode they will only work with the toy they came with but in launcher mode they're able to launch any Botshot.
