At least we're moving in the right direction. With 3d advancement being what it is I'd guess that a "Current Version" of "90's VR" is less than 10 years away... I was really big into VR when it came out in the 90's and had the goggles and gloves and it was soooooo coooool that ALL YOU REALLY COULD DO was wave your hand around in a primarily polygon enmvironment. It was awful. We didn't have the money to afford a computer that could really run it right.
But the motion capture we're using with the Kinect and Wii and whatever playstation has? MOV is it? That's a huge step. They could almost leave it as it is now and focus entirely on the presentation. Cause that's the real hold up now wouldn't you say.
Anyway I'm glad you posted this. I had almost forgot how much time and money my father and I wasted on that technology back then. Good Times, I wouldn't trade them for the world. :-)
