.... That when I first come to the forum it marks things with the New tag. I read the New posts, the new goes away. Now I just discovered this but I went to Help us...... And accidentally navigated away before I could read the new post in the actual thread. I go back to forums home and Help us.... no longer has New even though there are New threads to be read.

I think I know how it happens and personally feel it's not really worth any effort to fix. I just figured it should get documented so if you ever get so bored you want to fix it you know it's there.

Once again, I know it is super trivial but by all technical definition it's a bug. IDK this is just FYI ;-)

I use an off-the-shelf package for the forums (Simple Machines), so there's not too much I can do about stuff like this, short of upgrading the software. That said, I really do need to upgrade the software; I'm several versions behind. I'll put it on the 'ol list. Thanks, Antron.

All SMF sites are the same way. It marks a forum as read when you enter it, it doesn't matter if there are "new" threads in there or not.

That's what I figured. I'm not sweating it. It was just the first time it happened to me.

Closing. I did indeed update the software forum.
