After the last update at least for me things ran much better but now it seems to have taken a step back.  The post about the changes have been removed and I notice things are loading slower again.  Also When i goto see what info the site needs it doesnt sort it by only what i have in my collection.  Just wondering if something went wrong and things got changed thats all.

Hi again,
Well, the post disappeared because it was set to expire (meaning lose its "announcement" status) after 15 days or so. Ordinarily it's not an issue as new posts are added, but because no one is currently doing new posts, the holes are noticeable. As for things being slow again, please post a link or explain which pages seem slow. If everything just seems slow in general, I'll have to look into it.

And finally, the "how you can help" page is currently being re-vamped. I actually just checked-in a new version which does once again filter to your collection (as of yesterday it didn't), but it's very chuggy, so please go easy on it until I get a chance to smooth it out!

Hang in there, everything will be groovy once again.

Things seem to run the slowest when I open my collection, change pages in it or try and change the view of the collection(although editing the collection seems to run pretty smooth).  I run internet explorer 8 on windows vista.  My guess is its all the images slowing it down maybe lower res thumbnails might improve things but I know nothing about working on a site this size.  I appreciate the dedication and keep up the hard work!  Let me know if I can help I may not have a lot of knowledge(basic html) but I do have a lot of free time.

Thanks Djkevintron, this is helpful feedback. When you things are slow, how slow are we talking? A few seconds to load a page? Or does it seem to sort of get stuck and grind away for 20-30 seconds before displaying any content? If you have a lot of free time and want to help, I'm sure there are a million ways we can put you to work. ;) Engledogg may be able to come up with some data entry work for you (Europe needs to be fleshed-out, and we need to do a pass on the "forms" of each part), and of course we always need photos!

In the middle of the week it was more the 20-30 second long loads.  Tonight I ran things through the paces and things seem to be loading at about 2-5 sec max(which is much improved).
